Guso!

Our family friend came back from a short vacation in Bohol, Philippines. She brought some seaweed, and gave us some. I love seaweed especially this kind. This is commonly called "guso" back home. This isn't fresh, but the dried one.

I soak a hand full of this in water overnight.

It is prepared, mixed with chopped tomato, onion, and ginger, seasoned with vinegar, salt and pepper, and coconut milk. Here in the USA , I substitute it with a teaspoon of mayonnaise, since fresh squeeze coconut milk is hard to find.

YUMMY!!!

  2. Phioxee, we are just lucky in Southern California we have lots of Filipino stores . But we can't find this kind in any oriental store. Kaya masaya pag matikman uli ang pagkain na sa Pinas mo lang makain.
